Educational Biotope at Plötzensee

Lernbiotop am Plötzensee
Lernbiotop am Plötzensee

A paradise for the very small was opened at Plötzensee in 2022: The educational biotope offers a home for grasshoppers, butterflies, dragonflies, bees, caterpillars, beetles and all kinds of other native insects. With good eyes and a little patience, visitors can spot a lot of life - and discover the essential role these little creatures play in a healthy ecosystem! A photo rally and learning games will complete an exciting project day in the biotope at Plötzensee.

SDG 6 - Clean water

Projekttag SDG 6 Sauberes Wasser
Projekttag SDG 6 Sauberes Wasser

For many people in Germany, clean water from the tap is such an everyday thing that we hardly give it a second thought. But is it the same for everyone in the world? How does climate change affect the world's water supply? And what does our smartphone have to do with "virtual water"?

At this project day, we spend a day intensively exploring Goal No. 6 of the Agenda 2030: Clean water and sanitation for all people worldwide! Quizzes, learning games programmed by children and creative group work not only impart exciting knowledge about the topic of water, they are also a lot of fun!

Clean Up Day

World Clean Up Day
World Clean Up Day

World Clean Up Day has been a global event since 2018. Every year in September, a 36-hour green wave of clean-ups takes place around the world. 14 million people in 191 countries joined forces to collect rubbish on 18 September 2021!

Your class can be part of this action too. And Clean Ups can take place all year round! During our project day, the participants learn what Goal 12 of the Agenda 2030 "Sustainable Consumption" is all about and then get active by cleaning up their neighbourhood.

Info: You can easily organise clean-ups yourself! The "Kehrenbürger" in Berlin provide utensils (grabbers, rubbish bags, etc.) and pick up the collected rubbish at an agreed location. More information at www.kehrenbuerger.de.
