The pupils at Andersen Grundschule (Andersen Primary School) spent an exciting project week! They explored an important topic: Plastic waste and sustainable consumption. Using learning games and creative methods, they learned what plastic is made of and how it causes quite some problems on our planet.
A highlight of the week was an exchange with children in Uganda via video chat! This way, the pupils gained an understanding of the role plastic waste plays not only here but also in other parts of the world.
At the end of the week, they were able to be active and creative themselves: They created a song, a comic and even an online game on the topic of plastic waste in the sea and waste separation. You can find the results here on the page - enjoy reading, playing and listening!

"Die Menschen sollen wissen, dass es sehr nervt,
wenn ihr Euren Müll ins Meer werft!"
(People should know that it is very annoying
if you through your rubbish into the ocean!)
Josi and Leen are having a pyjama party! But as Leen wants to take their chip bags and plastic bottles to the rubbish bin, Josi feels forced to explain a few things to her. Would you have known better?
This project week was sponsored by Engagement Global with funds provided by the Bundesministerium für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung (Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development).
