Goal 6 of the Agenda 2030: Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all.
We need it to drink, brush our teeth, cook and wash, and even our blood is largely made of it - without water we cannot survive! Access to clean water is therefore enormously important. But not all people can simply turn on the water tap in their homes. The climate crisis is not the only reason why water is becoming increasingly limited worldwide. Did you know, for example, that the production of a mobile phone requires more than 70 bathtubs full of water? Or what you can do to use water sustainably? This and much more is what the students learn in our project weeks and project days on the topic of SDG 6 - Clean Water and Sanitation! Here you can read short reports on the projects and see some of the digital results the children have produced.
We need it for drinking, cooking, washing and flushing the toilet - during this exciting project week, the fifth grade children at Andersen Primary School learned how essential water is to our lives. Of course, we also looked at the situation in other parts of the world and then developed our own digital learning media. Here you can find a detailed report and all the results!
A whole week without lessons, but full of games, quizzes and lots of interesting facts about water: this sums up the project week at Ringelnatz Grundschule (Ringelnatz Primary School) for the pupils of class 5a. Not only did the children learn a lot about their own water consumption and water cycles here in Germany, but also developed a global perspective.
